As with any profession, the need for continuing professional development (CPD) is vital to ensure that practitioners maintain and develop their skills.

Many professional organisations now insist that their members complete an annual minimum requirement. In most cases this requirement can be fulfilled by a combination of individual study & research, professionally facilitated supervision or attendance at courses or workshops.

The workshops and courses run by the Western School are aimed at providing focused and relevant developmental training presented in a practical, interactive and enjoyable environment.

  • Mind your own business - Practice management workshop.
  • Speak up for yourself - Presentation skills for the therapist.
  • Back to Basics Workshop - Review of Swedish massage skills & additional techniques.
  • Review of Sports & Remedial Massage.
  • First Aid - 'Save a Life' course.
  • Sports Event Massage Workshop.
  • Advanced Remedial Workshop - Knee and ankle.
  • Advanced Remedial Workshop - Upper limb.
  • Advanced Remedial Workshop - Hip and pelvis.
  • Advanced Remedial Workshop - Lumbar Spine.
  • Advanced Remedial Workshop - Thoracic & Cervical Spine.
  • Advanced Remedial Workshop - Muscle Energy Techniques (MET).
